Kenilworth Christmas Light Switch-on

After school on a Friday, the Small Person has Apple Club, which is an acting club for younger children run by Playbox Theatre. Every week, we drop her at the club for an hour, and go and sit in a local cafe (because by the time we drove home, we'd only have about 15 minutes before we had to get back in the car and return to collect her!). Once we collect her, we normally head off home for a boring night in.

This last Friday, Kenilworth held their Christmas light switch-on (part one) in Warwick Road (the main shopping street through the centre of town.)

We ran into friends and chatted (resulting in impatient sulky children!) including Mr Bogert's old boss and his family with their dog Bingo (who really wanted to eat the Smaller Persons food). We drank Eggnog lattes from Starbucks and mulled wine from a stall, ate burgers and hot dogs followed by hot fresh doughnuts. Yum! The Small People had lollipops and tried their luck on various tombolas.

They also got to speak to Santa who gave them chocolates.

Both of the Small People went on a couple of rides, and the we set off for home. Another festive evening that left us sleepy and happy :)
